Justice & Mercy

Micah 6:8 says this, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” This page shows a number of the ways we as a church live out this calling and how you can get involved.

Food Bags

We offer food bags containing perishable and non-perishable food items for families and individuals. The contents of this bag require access to basic kitchen items to prepare. The food bags are available for pickup or delivery on Wednesdays from 12:00 - 1:00pm and 5:30 - 6:30pm at Harvest Vineyard Church, 320 South 17th Street Ames, IA 50010.

FOOD BAG SIGN-UP

Care Bags

Care bags are designed for people without consistent access to a kitchen. Contain non-perishable food items and basic toiletry necessities. They are packaged in a water-tight bag. These are available for pickup anytime the church is open. You’re also welcome to take one to keep in your car and give away when you see a person in need.

Infant Care Bags

Infant care bags contain diapers, wipes, lotion, and other items that a newborn and mother would find critical in the first year of a child’s life. These are available for pickup anytime the church is open.

GET IN TOUCH

Community Partners

One of the ways we put our desire to be "one of the best friends of our city" is to resource the organizations that are faithfully serving and restoring people in our community. We get a taste of God's Kingdom when the hungry are fed, the homeless have a bed, parents and children are well cared for, and people are redeemed out of slavery. We partner together to bring more of the Kingdom to our city. Please check out these amazing organizations.
